Hey...this is my blog...I really don't know what to put in this intro box...
So I watched "An Inconvenient Truth"
global warming I gotta say: props to Al. He really researched his stuff: ice caps melting, cities submerged, and stronger storms. Yeah.
He did add humor in places: a scene from Futurama, a show that Matt Groening (The Simpsons) made, was added into it:
I already knew about the whole global warming deal, but it doesn't take much to realize it's happening if you've lived in Michigan for the last 7-10 years at least. It's in the mid 50's right now and it's the end of December. Two years ago I was freezing walking outside. Now it's nice enough for a walk...
Of course, Al showed me how bad it could get. Here are some hilights:

- These past few years have been the hottest no just for the US, but everywhere. India had a city at 122 degrees in 2005. Pakistan beat them this year with 125 degrees. It will keep getting hotter.
- Water levels world wide will rise 20 feet.
- Permafrost ("perma-", permanent) climates are melting. The soil is rapidly thawing; something that isn't supposed to happen at this speed naturally .
- Forest fires are getting worse and more frequent.
- Hurricanes, Tsunami's, and Cyclones (the same thing in different oceans) are growing stronger.
- Oceans will become acidic. Yeah acid. Take-a-dip-and-you'll-get-burned acid.
- We can still do something about it, we have the tech, but our politicians are scared of change.
